Disaster Risk Management NPC (t/a DMS NPC) has been appointed by the Gauteng Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) to finalise the Level 1 Sector Disaster Management Plans for three Gauteng Provincial Sector Departments, namely Gauteng Departments of Health, Human Settlements and Agriculture and Rural Development.

In terms of the Disaster Management Act (No. 57 of 2002), Gauteng Provincial Sector Departments are required to compile a provincial disaster management plan. DMS NPC is required to finalise the Level 1 DMP for three Gauteng Provincial Sector Departments, namely, Health, Human Settlements, and Agriculture and Rural Development.
