DMS NPC has been re-appointed to review and update of Anglo American Platinum’s Community Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP) for communities located in the Mogalakwena Complex’s area of influence.

The process will ensure alignment with Anglo American’s updated 4D EPRP Tool. DMS NPC has centred the community EPRP around the design, development and delivery of a community-based early warning system tailored to the communities located adjacent or near to the Mine.

As part of the review and update of the EPRP for communities, a briefing meeting took place before the tailings dam awareness meeting with the local traditional council- and community members, to discuss roles and responsibilities. This briefing meeting also gave the community EMP Committee an opportunity to practice their presentation ("Community Based Early Warning Procedures").
